How to Pick Up Material at Soil Plus

Have you ever wondered how to get soil, mulch, or other bulk materials for your landscaping projects? If you are a new homeowner or have never visited a soil yard before, the process might seem a little intimidating. We are here to help. At Soil Plus, we want to make your experience as smooth and easy as possible. Here is a simple guide to picking up material at our yard.

Step 1: Visit Our Sales Office

When you arrive at our yard, the first thing you will do is come up the short stairs to our sales office. Our friendly staff will be there to help you. You will place your order and pay for your material. We are happy to answer any questions you may have and there's a cubic yard calculator to help you determine the right amount of material for your project.

Step 2: Drive to the Bunker

After you have paid, you will drive your truck or trailer to the bunker where your chosen product is located. Once you are there, please wait for our loader to arrive. We have different bucket sizes for our loader, including a 1/2 cubic yard and a 1 cubic yard bucket. The size of your truck or trailer will determine which bucket we use. To avoid any confusion, we always recommend placing your order in cubic yards rather than asking for “one scoop” or “one bucket.” This ensures you get the exact amount of material you need.

Step 3: Secure Your Load

Once your material is loaded, the final step is to secure it for transport. You can do this by putting a tarp over your load. We also have a hose available in front of the sales office if you would like to spray down your material with water. This helps to keep everything in place during your drive home.
