Gravel Delivery for Your Landscaping Needs!

If you're looking to add a bit of texture and visual interest to your landscape design, look no further than the gravel selection from Soil Plus! We offer three different sizes of gravel, each with its own unique benefits and applications. In this blog post, we'll take a closer look at each type of gravel and how it can be used to enhance your outdoor space.

  1. 3/8" Chip Sometimes referred to as Pea Gravel, 3/8" Chip is a small, jagged gravel that is perfect for creating a soft, natural look in your landscaping. It is a great choice for walkways, as it provides excellent traction and allows water to drain through easily. Pea gravel can also be used to create a decorative border around flower beds or to fill in the gaps between larger stones in a rock garden. Due to its small size, it is easy to work with and can be spread quickly and evenly.

  2. #3 Landscape Rock Larger than Pea Gravel but still relatively small, #3 Landscape Rock is a versatile option that can be used for a variety of landscaping projects. It is about 3/4" in size and a popular choice for creating paths or walkways, as it provides good traction and is less likely to shift or settle over time than smaller gravels. It can also be used to create drainage systems or to fill in the gaps between larger stones in a rock garden. #3 Landscape Rock is a great option for those who want a more substantial gravel that still allows for good drainage.

  3. 1.5" Drain Rock The largest of our three gravel sizes, 1.5" Drain Rock is perfect for projects that require a more heavy-duty gravel. As the name suggests, it is often used for drainage systems or to provide a base for retaining walls or other hardscaping elements. It can also be used to create a decorative feature in your landscaping, such as a dry riverbed or a pathway. While it is less commonly used for decorative purposes due to its larger size, 1.5" Drain Rock can still add a rugged, natural look to your outdoor space.

No matter which size of gravel you choose, there are some key benefits to using gravel in your landscaping. Gravel can help to prevent erosion, provide good drainage, and create a natural look that complements plants and other landscaping elements. It is also relatively low maintenance, as it does not require watering or fertilizing like plants do.
